Frequently Asked Questions
A hard flat surface is needed for placement of the dumpster, as it will sink into a lawn or similar soft ground as it fills up. In most cases, a driveway, alley, or parking lot is adequate. It's important to check your town's rules and regulations pertaining to dumpsters. For example, some towns have restrictions against placing dumpsters on the street, while others may require a permit to have a dumpster at all. If the container needs to be placed on the street, local codes will probably require a permit to do so. These are easily obtained from your municipal offices, but you must have them before the container can be delivered.
Our hooklift trucks are big and need room to backup and maneuver. Our minimum requirement is to have at-least 16 feet or more of overhead clearance, be aware of wires or any overhead obstruction. Good rule of thumb is to have a 10 foot wide spot and at least 45 feet of clearance in-front of where you want the dumpster to be placed.
Our dumpsters have strict weight limits, usually up to 5 tons of debris. We ask our customers to be careful not to overload the dumpster with heavy debris, such as concrete, rock or dirt, which WILL exceed the safe roadway weight limits. Also the "MAX FILL LINE" defines the limit on the quantity of materials that can be placed in the dumpster; therefore, you will not be allowed to exceed that limit. If you are nearing the max fill line, tamp down the material in the dumpster, or call us for an additional dumpster. $150 fee if unable to tarp the load safely.
Typically our customers need a dumpster for a couple days, Our max rental time is 7 days, if you need the dumpster for longer we can accommodate. Keep in mind we can deliver your dumpster at any point during your project, so it would be helpful to get started on the project prior to delivery. We do offer same day delivery. Extra days are $25 a day.
To get a visual idea of what size dumpster you will need, compare cubic measurements to this: the bed of a pickup truck can hold about two cubic yards of material.
One cubic yard takes up a 3 ft × 3 ft × 3 ft area of space.
Kitchen stove = 1 cubic yard
Sofa = 3 - 4 cubic yards
Refrigerator = 2 cubic yards
Small car = 15 cubic yards
Getting a bigger dumpster than you think you need is always better than running too small. We’re always a text or call away to help you evaluate your needs so that you can get the most appropriate dumpster size for the project. 603-614-6010

No hazardous waste, fuels, oils, paints, inks, toxic chemicals, engines/batteries, railroad ties, liquids of any kind (whether contained or not), medical waste, asbestos, contaminated absorbents, large amounts of food waste.
